National Association of Federal Retirees
The National Association of Federal Retirees is a not-for-profit association dedicated to protecting the rights and enhancing the benefits of federal retirees.
The main role of the Branch is to keep members informed, provide assistance to members, and to ensure there is a link between the individual members and the National Association.
This web site is designed to keep our members up to date with Branch activities and to provide easy access to other sites such as the National Association, Government web sites of general interest to retirees, and other information that may be useful to seniors.
2019 Fall Social Event - Cancellation
We regret to inform members that the Fall Social Event, planned for October 16 2019 in Almonte has been cancelled. The Branch Executive decided that due to a very low registration total for the event, it would not be advisable to spend additional Branch funds on a social event. We will be looking into ways to generate more interest for this type of event in the future.
We apologize to those members who did express their interest, and hope future events will be of interest to them and others.
2019 Annual General Meeting
The Annual General Meeting took place on April 17 2019 at the Carleton Place arena. Details are available in the Branch News section in the Main Menu.
At the end of each year, the Treasury Board provides the Association with information on the pension indexing increase that is effective on January 1st. The pension indexation rate effective January 1, 2019, is 2.2%.
